Hey guys. I just updated the 6th class' material on Tuesday. On that day, I just posted a dialogue to read and vocabulary. Right now I'll give you a material. If you have a difficulties or questions, feel free to ask me. Let's start !

Material for today !

1. 여기는 N- 입니다 ---> This (place) is N

Example:

1. 여기는 서울대학교 입니다: This (place) is Seoul National Uni.

2. 여기는 한국 입니다: This (place) is Korea.

3. 여기는 서울 입니다: This (place) is Seoul.


* 여기는 N-입니까 ? ----> Is this (place) N

Example:
a. 여기는 서울 입니까? ( Is this Seoul ? )
- 네, 여기는 서울 입니다. ( Yes, This place is Seoul )

b. 여기는 서울 대학교 입니까? ( Is this Seoul National University? )
- 네, 서울 대학교 입니다. ( Yes, this is Seoul National University )


2. 여기는 어디 입니까? ---> Where are we ?

a. 여기는 어디 입니까? ---> Where are we ?
- 여기는 서울대학교 입니다. ---> We are in Seoul National University.

b.여기는 어디 입니까? ---> Where are we ?
- 교실 입니다. ---> We are in the classroom.

3. N은/는 N에서 N을/를 V-ㅂ 니다/ 습니다 . ---> Noun Verb Noun at (in) Noun

Example:
a. 우리는 서울 대학교 에서 한국어를 배웁니다. ---> We learn Korean at Seoul National University

b. 나는 대학교 에서 영어를 가르칩니다. ---> I study English at university

c. 김범 씨는 교실에서 책을 읽습니다 ---> Kim Bum reads a book in the classroom.

4. N은/는 무엇을 V - ㅂ 니까?/습니까? ---> What does Noun ( people ) Verb (do something) ?

Example :

a. 민호 씨는 무엇을 배웁니까? ---> What is Min Ho studying ?

b. 준 씨는 무엇을 공부합니까? ---> What is Jun studying ?

치후 씨는 무엇을 읽습니다? ----> What is Ji Hoo reading ?

5. V -시-ㅂ 니까? ----> Verb + honorific marker +sentence ending

We use 시 as a honorific marker. It's like if you wanna ask to an old people or someone who you've just recognized.

Example :

a. 김 선생님은 무엇을 하십니까? ---> Teacher Kim, what do you do ( for a living ) ?
-나는 영어를 가르칩니다. ---> I teach English.

b. 혜순 씨는 한국어를 배우십니까? ---> Are you learning Korean language, Hye Sun ?
- 네, 저는 한국어를 배웁니다. ---> Yes, I learn Korean language.

* V -으시 -ㅂ니까? ---> V + honorific marker + sentence ending

Example :

무엇을 읽으십니까? ---> What are you reading ?
- 한국어책을 읽습니다. ---> I'm reading a Korean language textbook.
